“But I will call on God, and the Lord will rescue me. 17 Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice.” ~Psalm 55:16-17 NLT
In this the 55th psalm, the author David gives us some good advice in the midst of some very trying and difficult circumstances. The advice…
Keep God close all day long!
You see… in this psalm in the two verses above, David tells each of his listeners and us today who read his words that there is NO time in the day that God is not willing to hear from us… from His people!
Morning… noon… and night… not just in the morning when you might be inclined to do your devotionals… or at night when you put your head down for some rest! David cried out to God all day long and God heard his cries, his words, his prayers!
You know… the reality is simply this, God desires to walk with us each and every moment of the day, not just in the morning for a few moments. He wants to be involved all day long, in the minor and major, in the good, the bad, and the ugly of our days! Sometimes as people of faith we forget that God desires to hear from us and to walk with us in each waking moment not just in the crisis that might arrive during our daily lives.
Next time that you face some stuff along the way of your day may you remember that God longs to hear from you in ALL that life brings your way!
Calling on God each day…
Rev Trev
