The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!” (Mark 4:41)
This line often gets missed in the bigger picture of this story. Jesus saves them from certain death and they come away from it terrified.
REALLY?
The miracle they witnessed was amazing and they came away scared because they still didn't recognize WHO Jesus truly was.
What I find so interesting is how today so many people say "PROVE IT" and I will believe it, especially when it comes to the issue of Jesus and Christianity.
But in this simple verse after one of Jesus' most miraculous miracles those closest to Him didn't even understand or come to a place where they really knew WHO was in the boat with them.
The reality is, miracles happen all around us every day but we don’t recognize them and even IF Jesus came to this planet in this very moment and stood and calmed the waves of some people's lives they wouldn't even recognize the King of everything!
Seeking Him in everything...
